At this moment in Australia starts the 26.01 and thus start the whole country for the Australia Day. On the Australian flagstack map you will find the first kangaroos and Emus - the wappers of Australia!
All the world's events on the occasion of the Australian-Day on the 25th and 26th January will also appear Kanguru's and Emu's on the map at the event start time . These animal visitors stay for 6 hours at the event and with the capture of the Australia Day Specials you get 26 points per capture and additionally after 26 captures (no matter what flagtype) you get then also in the action period the Ausralien Day Badge with many extra points.

A review, of whether the Australia-Day Specials is in a secure area or how good the mobile reception is, cannot be done. It will happen in some cases, that Australia-Day-Specials are unreachable. Therefore, there is no legal claim to be able to collect all the Australia Day Specials. The action period is from 25 January 2017 at 14:00 pm and ends on 26 January 2017 at 16:59 pm (time zone Europe / Berlin).

The 26.January is “Australia Day”! Traditionally, a variety of events are hosted in Australia on this day. Our volunteer DTAs (AU) has come up with something special for Australia on that special day...
To mark this occasion there will be some special animals from the Coat of Arms grazing the Australian FLAGSTACK map. Capturing one of those will give you beastly good 26 points. So try to capture as many as you can as theses special icons will only be on the map for the 26.January 2017, starting at 0.00am AEDT and finishing 11.59pm AWST (2.59am AEDT on the 27th), that is 27 hours in total.
You and the rest of the world can have lots of fun with the Australians on "Australia Day" together. Simply capture 26 flags of any type to earn yourself the “Australia Day 2017” badge. The capture count will start on 25.January 2017, 14:00 and finish 26.January 2017, 16:59 (time zone Europa/Berlin).

Australian animals will be special guests of any event on "Australia Day" - use this opportunity and host your own event to get the brand new Event Manager badge! Under this pseudonym, a hardworking troop is conspired and they have left all the other teams behind with a significant distance. We are excited to see what will happen next…
The RedFlagStars feel comfortable at the top 3 - this successful crew hangs out at the top for months. What team does understand this fact as a challenge and will rival them in Team Battle #14?

The end of the year will again be sporty! After the holidays, you are surely looking forward to go outside for the latest COBs (CountryBadges).
In Germany, we have implemented the excellent idea of Speddy-Clp (DE) with the help of industrious pixies: 114 stadiums with at least 15,000 seats are now marked with a special icon on the map. If you collect at least 90 of them, you will receive a great badge with incredibly 9,000 extra points!
Well, that's a real challenge...!
Inspired by the theme of the stadiums, CEO Erik Herklotz has transferred this idea to his past with American football (GFL, NFLE and NFL). All the 32 stadiums of the NFL teams (as of 12/2016) in the US are now marked with American footballs.
And this is the badge system: The NFL is divided into the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference. These conferences are divided into 4 divisions each: East, North, South and West. Capture all the footballs of every division, then you'll receive 1 badge each (total 8 and 400 extra points each). If you have completed one conference completely, you will receive 1 badge (a total of 2, each 1,600 extra points). If you have collected all NFL footballs, you are an absolutely insane fan of American Football and Flagstack and you'll receive one more badge (all together 11) and 3,200 extra points.
Now you'll be able to get in the mood for the 51st Super Bowl on the 5th of February 2017!

Have you already discovered them? All the small Christmas trees on the map, published in the course of the 24./25.December? They are placed with random coordinates and everyone can capture them. These Christmas trees are “a thank you” to you and to our volunteers. Without a task, without a badge, for no special reason. The small Christmas trees remain on the map until 31.December 2016 at 23:59 (Timezone Europe / Berlin). And as always: A review, of whether Christmas trees are in a secure area or how good the mobile reception is, cannot be done. It will happen in some cases, that Christmas trees are unreachable. What we still wanted to tell you... Last Sunday was something special... You might think "Oh yes, the third advent" or "Yeah - Double-Point-Weekend". Alright - but there was still another highlight...

6 million captures… This is really a lot… On day 501 since the start of Flagstack… 80 days after the 5 millionth capture… WOW - what an outstanding community performance!
Because each player has a share of this record with every single capture, we will come up with something nice for each player. You will get a special Personal Flag - the “6 Mio. Capture Bonus”. In the course of 16.December 2016 (Timezone Europe / Berlin) you will find it in your inventory. Once you discover this flag in your inventory, you can deploy it until 18.December 2016 at 22:59:59 (Timezone Europe / Berlin). This flag will give 6-time capture and deployment points to you for 60 minutes from your deploy time! Is that crazy? Yes, this is our behavior – and we think: you have earned it! Tip: Consider quite well where you want to deploy it - either with enough space for your own flags or with enough uncapped flags to collect :-) But beware: this flag cannot be combined with other double-point actions!
The Double-Point Weekend has been really great! In total, more than 17,000 flags were deployed and more than 117,000 flags were captured - in 48 hours a terrific performance. Let's see how many points the special flag will give to you...
Since the last few days of the year are always a hectic experience, thoughts are with friends and families and many people are coming to visit their loved ones, we would like to inform, that we (Team Flagstack) will step back a little and take breather from 20.December for the rest of 2016. Now there are more than 1.1 million flags and more than 300 challenges for which you can collect badges. To reduce loading times and, above all, to provide you a better overview on the website, we present you the brand new filters for the map and achievements today!

Long awaited, now they are finally there: More filter options for the Flagstack map! Finally you can see all your own flags OR only the found ones OR only Night Flags OR OR OR… Is the Caps Lock key activates or why is OR capitalized? Well, because an OR query is running here. Eh? Pardon? Like this: The filter checks whether it is e.g. your own flag OR an Oracle Flag. Therefore, your own flags and Oracle Flags can be displayed at the same time, but your own flags cannot be sorted by type. Might sound complicated but it's easy! Log on directly on the website and switch a bit with the new filter possibilities back and forth - then you’ll see the easy handling of this without any explanation J https://www.flagstack.net/map .
Achievements:
Now you can see the achievements in all possible variants - regular challenges, specials, events or regional tasks. In addition, you can decide if all badges are going to be displayed simultaneously or only the reached or the outstanding ones.
Side note for the regional filter: Here you will see badges for your (home) country, which you can define in the account settings https://www.flagstack.net/account. If you want to see other countries, just go to the filter "all achievements" and see the offers of other countries...
